About Sidekick Players
The Sidekick Players Club was founded by Carroll Lefebvre in July, 1997 and became a registered society in British Columbia on August 19, 1997. Their first production was The Wind in the Willows with a cast of more than 50 people ages from 3 to 60! They played to packed houses at The Genesis Theatre in Ladner for several performances and definitely made their mark in the community as a successful theatre company that was about to take Delta by storm! And now they are in their 17th Season and constantly sell-out every performance!
After several years renting spaces for rehearsal, storage and performances and being rather nomadic, they finally settled into The Tsawwassen Arts Centre where they call “home”. With everything under one roof, they have soared! In three seasons they went from 33 subscribers to 232 and still have people requesting subscriptions. They perform in an intimate Bistro setting and an evening with Sidekick is now a hot ticket in Tsawwassen!
They produce four plays a season with the mandate to bring Canadian theatre to TAC at least twice a year! Currently they perform 10 times, but with their popularity, next season will probably see an increase in performances!
Sidekick is committed to bringing a variety of theatrical productions to the community that make you laugh, cry and think! Delta’s longest-running, award winning theatre company, it offers the best theatre in Delta at very affordable prices!
Come out and “play” with us!!!
