
Summer Student Internship
Here at the Tsawwassen Business Improvement Association (#SunnyTsawwassen) we are excited to again offer TWO full-time student internships this summer! Located here in the beautiful south-west corner of #DeltaBC, our amazing beachfront community is home to a thriving commercial district of unique shops, boutiques, cafés, and services which make #Tsawwassen such a great place to live, work, visit, and learn.
Interning with the TBIA is an awesome opportunity to take your ongoing full-time post-secondary education to the next level, through practical projects and experiences where you’ll be both mentored & empowered to work in a number of interesting areas; including:
BUSINESS: Foster relationships with member businesses and partner organizations; while acting as an organizational brand ambassador at community events, and board & member functions
ADMINISTRATION: Track and update our member database
RESEARCH: Conduct market research & participate in team brainstorming sessions
SOCIAL MEDIA: Plan, execute, and optimize social media marketing campaigns and then report on those campaign results in reports to the board of directors
EVENTS: Assume a leading role on at least one event project from start to finish; including the event planning, logistics coordination; execution and brand ambassadorship as well as supporting public relations; social media efforts and general administrative support
VIDEO PROJECT: Work with a media agency & film crew to develop scripts for a video series highlighting member businesses; logistics coordination with film crew & businesses; liaising on video editing social media release & promotional efforts; and overall project management administration
COMMUNITY PROJECTS: Work with our partner organization to coordinate community beautification and place-making projects in pedestrian-heavy areas of commercial spaces - in cooperation with our member property owners
SUPERVISION: Based on intern skills & experience, interning may also include supervisory tasks for summer students working for the TBIA through our partner organization on community beautification projects

To be eligible for this internship, you must meet the following Canada Summer Jobs qualifications:
NOTE: You must be available to work full-time (ideally 40 hours/week – minimum 35) for the duration of the internship (May – August) and at specific community events of which the TBIA is an active participant and sponsor this summer.
