There's a fantastic project blooming in Sunny Tsawwassen right now, and the good news was recently spread in the local newspaper The Delta Optimist.
The South Delta Garden Club, in collaboration with the Tsawwassen Business Improvement Association, is celebrating Canada's 150th birthday by planting red and white tulips. The club purchased 1,000 of the Canada 150th birthday tulips and have planted them in front of many prominent businesses in Tsawwassen, including the four corners of 56th Street and 12th Avenue and South Delta Secondary School.
You may have seen some of the shoots from the flowers that were planted back in October by Angelika Hedley of the South Delta Garden Club, along with one of our Community Ambassadors (via the LEAP program with Delta Community Living Society). See that photo gallery here.
Sunny Tsawwassen has been committed to beautification projects that draw in visitors to our "uptown" core, from our annual and traditional Christmas Lights program to the more recent business window painting.
